2002 - a new era began in the Austrian tourism: With the NetHotels ReServer 3.0, the NetHotels AG confirm its role as pioneer and sets, after 2 years development time, a new standard for reservation and back office systems. By the support of newest technologies such as XML (extended markup language) and ASP (application service providing) it succeeded to us to integrate more complex tourist operational sequences, i.e. congress reservations, into the ReServer System.
‘The experience of more then 6 years in e-tourism have helped to create a successful product’ says Hans Jürgen Pfisterer, founder, CEO, and chairman of the NetHotels AG. “Any service can now be made ‘bookable’ online. Travel agencies and congress organisers can now administer allocations online and make them available to other partners under varying conditions. Services can be booked not only individually but also combined using a shopping basket system or as a package.
“Hotelnetzwerk” chooses NetHotels.com technology
Following a detailed market analysis, three large Austrian travel specialists representing a total of 250 Hotels – Autriche pour France, Austria per Italia, and Golf in Austria – have choosen NetHotels’ ReServer technology and tourism Authority. In 2002, our website and call-centre will be switched to the ReServer 3.0 standards. “After completing our very intensive market studies in autumn last year we have decided to introduce the ReServer Booking Technology to all our booking activities and with it we expect a substantially increase in productivity and booking volume for our partner hotels” says Hans Ruiz, managing director of Hotelnetzwerk.
ATB 2002 bookable online for the first time
After the successful integration of NetHotels’ ‘Live Agent Chats’ on the Austrian National Tourist Board’s (ANTO) website, in summer 2001, and the next common project - making the ATB ‘bookable’ online - NetHotels has officially launched its latest ReServer 3.0 module, the Congress Administration Tool. With a valid user ID and log-in all exhibitors at the ATB 2002 can access exclusive ATB room allocation directly via the ATB website (http://austria-tourism.at/atb) and book rooms at preferred rates in real time. The user data will be automatically transferred and a renewed log-in or entering of personal data are no longer necessary. In addition, also the registration, fringe events and many more can now be accessed and easily administered online via the Congress tool.
With NetHotels Austria (http://austria.nethotels.com), all Austrian hotels and accommodation facilities can be booked online, either in real time or on request. NetHotels booking experts provide personal support 24 hours a day. NetHotels operates 19 call-centres in 12 countries covering 34 destinations offering a total of 30.000 hotels.
High-speed Internet access with your personal notebook – NetHotels.com, Cisco, and T-Systems invite you to an exclusive test at the ATB 2002:
Already a popular in-room standard in many hotels in the USA, this latest in Internet technology will be promoted via the extensive NetHotels network amongst the hotels in Austria. Because of the use of ADSL and the existing telephone system no additional maintenance or engineering work is necessary. A special software automatically configures the laptop settings - so no need for changing it manually. Simply plug-in, login, and surf! Two access points in the press area and one point at the NetHotels Cyber Café are available for tests free-of-charge.
