NetHotels Launches ReServer 3.0


Established in 1995, NetHotels AG has grown to become one of the global players in the field of e-tourism with its online hotel reservation system - ReServer. Since its launch, NetHotels now has offices in 12 countries and operates a network of 34 local call centers all over the world. During this time, hundreds of thousands of bookings have been made in the 8,000 hotels in Austria, and more than 18,000 hotels located worldwide which are currently online.

Following the rapid expansion last year whereby Germany, England, France, Spain Portugal and the USA were established, NetHotels AG has now entered the next phase in its’ development by releasing its newest version of the reservation backbone – ReServer 3.0

2 years in planning, consultation with both technical and tourism experts, and then 12 months of development and testing, have resulted in a revolutionary and innovative online reservation system suitable for all areas of the tourism industry.

Now not only hotel rooms, but also individual tourism related services can be reserved online concurrently. Online packages can be individually customized by the client in real time, by means of a shopping basket system, specifically integrated and customized for the tourist industry.

The NetHotels Live Agent is available by telephone, fax, email and the new “Live Chat” 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to answer any questions or handle any bookings clients may have.

Due to its flexibility, ReServer 3.0 can easily be customized and integrated to suit any company’s corporate image or design, ensuring that partnerships or co-operations (hotels, Rental Car, Theater Tickets, Restaurants etc) with NetHotels is effortless. All confirmation templates, online texts may easily be modified to suit the individual provider.

Automatic online credit card verification and payment allocation has also been implemented into the new Reserver 3.0 system ensuring painless and exact accounting for service providers partnering with NetHotels.

Multilingual modules are available in almost any language including non-western languages. Japanese and Chinese are provided for.

The first NetHotels region operationally online with ReServer 3.0 was NetHotels Steiermark. The other 33 regions will be gradually upgraded from ReServer 2.5 to ReServer 3.0 over the next couple of months.

Through the co-operation with the HOST property management system, hotels have the ability to update and modify their own hotel details online and in real time. Room categories, availabilities, allocations and prices and much more may be updated at any time and automatically put online, greatly reducing the overall workload required by service providers. HOST offers a comprehensive ASP Property Management System including PC cash register systems, Internet based shops, auctions, safes, and Pay TV systems.

On offer through the ReServer 3.0 interface are different distribution channels whereby services may be visible and therefore sold to clients such as WorldRes, SABRE at the same time. This enables ReServer 3.0 to be utilized by all sectors of the tourism industry without disclosing confidential information such as different price categories.
