On the left side of Palais Coburg the elegant Vienna Hotel Am Parkring is located. Well known by the artists in the 60s the hotel was highly appreciated and arists like Oskar Werner, Charles Aznavour, Juliette Greco and Peter Kraus enjoyed their stay at the hotel.
Oskar Werner loved to stay at Hotel Am Parkring in his preferred Suite Nr.140 with th best look to St. Stephans. One time when he arrived in Vienna without a booking, he was very angry that "his" room in Hotel Parkring was occupied. The former reception clerk Mr. Meidl asked the American guests if it's possible they change the room. The guest got an autigramm and the opportunity to talk with the famous star for half an hour and offered the suite 140 to Oskar Werner.
